Designed by architects Swisher-Hall of Las Vegas, the Paul B. Sogg Building contains an architecture library, design studios, technical shops, computer laboratories, classrooms, exhibition and charette space as well as offices for faculty and administration. The building is surrounded by desert landscaping providing a living laboratory for the study of Mojave sensitive plants.
Facilitites:
The School has three computer labs including: CADD, Visualization, and Graphics lab. The CADD and Graphics labs are open for student use at least eighty hours each week. The CADD lab is equipped with thirty-two Windows NT cpu's. The Graphics and Visualization labs are cross platform allowing students to work in either Macintosh or Windows environments. The Visualization lab also has three SGI workstations and is open to registered seniors and graduate students in the School as well as the College of Fine Arts for computer research, digitial imaging, animation and design.
The Visualization lab has been funded in part by a grant from Westwood Studios , Las Vegas, NV.
The School also has a photography studio for documenting student projects and creating professional portfolios.

The School has a fully functional model shop which allows students to construct accurate scale models for design projects. Students are allowed to use a wide range of powertools after they have passed a proficiency test. A laser cutter has been added to the shop allowing students to directly transfer CADD drawings, and Graphic designs from the computer to a physical template or pattern.
The School of Architecture Slide Library consists of approximately 20,000 color 35-mm slides documenting world architecture, construction techniques, interiors, urban planning, landscape architecture, fine art, diagrammatics, furniture and eleven slide set/audio units.
The focus of the collection is on twentieth century (primarily Western) design. Holdings outside this category are arranged by non-Western and Western distinctions by country and/or city. The current collection is a educational resource with circulation restricted to faculty, adjunct faculty and graduate students .
