Student Resources
There are many resources that are available to the students that are designed to assist the student in the course of the studies. There are University sponsored programs that are design to assist the new students find the information they need to apply to the program they are interested in. For current students it is worthwhile to explore the programs and events offered at (http://www.unlv.edu/main/students.html) Using this resource site will help one become acquainted with the extended university community. There are also the resources of the Fine Arts College,(http://finearts.unlv.edu) as well as department resources. There are opportunities for students to participate in research that will help promote better quality environments through sponsored research in the NEAT Lab.
Student Organizations
These organizations are formed by students to provide for the students opportunities with a peer’s perspective of the issues that are common to them. All of the organizations provide the students with a path for developing leadership skills. Such organizations also provide opportunities for students to meet other students from other schools across the nation. At sponsored conferences, the students may gain insights from workshops with featured speakers. Here they may also make contacts with professionals in the industry they are learning about. Through these student organizations many companies seek for students who would like to participate in an internship program.
